AFROMOSIA WOOD

Afromosia is a well-known African Hardwood with very high duraibilty and strength.  Age causes the heartwood’s golden-brown tone to deepen and possibly take on a reddish or olive tint. Typically, grain is straight, although it can also be interlaced with an excellent natural shine and a fine, consistent texture.

Afrormosia is a material that can be easily worked with both hand and machine tools in almost all situations, though surface boards with interlocking grain may tear off. Afrormosia does good turning, gluing, staining, and finishing. Commonly used in Boatbuilding, veneer, flooring, and furniture.
