Indian Teak Wood

Indian subcontinent is the origin of Teakwood. Indian forests are highly reserved and one of the oldest on the planet and most rich in growth and quality. Indian Teakwood is known for its durability, strength, and water resistance, making it a popular choice for outdoor furniture, decking, and construction.

The wood is golden to dark brown in colour, with a straight grain and a coarse texture. It is also known for its natural oils which give it resistance to rot and decay. Indian teak is also highly valued for its beautiful natural grain patterns, making it a popular choice for decorative wood work. Indian Teakwood is worldwide recognized for its durability and stability and is one of the few woods that can withstand the heat of the desert and will not readily catch fire.

Its high oil content, high tensile strength, and tight grain make it particularly suitable where weather resistance is desired. It has numerous uses including shipbuilding (especially decks), indoor or outdoor furniture, high-class joinery, flooring, panelling, decorative veneers, Door & window Frames etc.
